This World Heart Day was one I’ll never forget. I had the incredible opportunity to be featured on WIN News, sharing my journey and raising awareness about the importance of heart health — something deeply personal to me.
As many of you know, I was born with a non congenital heart condition called Truncus Arteriosus and experienced a sudden cardiac arrest also better known as a heart attack at just 14 years old. I now live with a defibrillator and pacemaker, which have become part of my life and my strength. My story isn’t just about survival — it’s about living fully, creating, and advocating for awareness so others understand how vital our hearts truly are.
During the segment, I shared images that tell my story — not just the medical side, but also who I am today: a model, cosplayer, and creative artist using my platform to inspire resilience and understanding. My hope is that by sharing this, others may take a moment to think about their own heart health and the stories behind invisible conditions like mine.
Too often, people underestimate how serious heart conditions can be. But - "It's your heart, you only get one in your life and it beats for everything in your body."
That message — used as the closing line of my WIN News feature — perfectly sums up what I hope everyone takes away from World Heart Day: to value, protect, and care for your heart, because it truly is the rhythm that keeps every part of life going.
ā¤ļø Thank you to WIN News for helping me share my story and raise awareness for heart health.
